The Techie Therapist
Counseling for Men, Couples, and Families
Feeling overwhelmed by the demands of work, marriage, and family life?
You are not alone.
Navigating school and sports schedules, handling conflicts, paying the bills, and dealing with work stress while attempting to nurture relationships can be daunting.
Technology can offer relaxation and fun, but too much screen time can lead to misunderstandings and disconnect within your marriage, family, and work life.
As a Husband, Father, Grandparent, Veteran, Tech Enthusiast, and Student Marriage and Family Therapist Intern:
I specialize in helping husbands, fathers, couples, and families navigate the complexities of modern life.
Let’s start tackling some issues.
We will identify patterns, develop impactful insights, and implement practical solutions.

Meet John
I am a techie! I enjoy spending time on computers, playing video games and board games with my kids, and connecting with people, just like you.
Favorite Movie Quote: “And so do all who see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.” - Gandalf the Grey
Favorite Video Game: The Legend of Zelda.
Favorite Book: I have two. The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas, and the Bible. . .which now that I think about it, is comprised of 66 books. So maybe I should change my original answer to, “I have 67 favorite books!”
Favorite Board Game: The Settlers of Catan. My favorite number to roll in the game is a 7. If you know, you know. . .
I specialize in helping families navigate the complexities of modern life, including the challenges posed by technology.
I strive to bring warmth and authenticity into the therapy room, supporting open communication to explore how depression, anxiety, communication struggles, conflict resolution, work-life imbalance, technology overuse, parenting challenges, unhealthy relationship dynamics, stress, self-esteem issues, significant life changes, and regulating emotions have negatively impacted your relationships and identify where you are currently, “stuck.”
Together, we’ll develop a strategy and treatment plan to get you “unstuck.”
My approach combines practical skill-building with emotional support, empowering Couples, Families, Husbands, Fathers, Veterans, and Males ages 5+ to balance their digital lives while addressing other life issues.
My goal is to help you build stronger, more resilient relationships in an increasingly digital world.
